Hey Family! We just got back from little E's 12 month doctors appointment. Everything went pretty well even though she got a few shots. Luckily she loves the shiny band-aids they gave her. Although she is very healthy overall, the doctor has decided to refer her to a cardiologist. At her 9 month appointment and again at her 12 month appointment today he thought he heard a heart murmur (did i spell that right??). So, just to be on the safe side he wants to have a cardiologist check her out. Please don't freak out (especially you Becky!). It may very well be nothing. But since he thought he heard it twice and she is gaining very little weight (she's in the 10th percentile), he wanted to make sure we had it looked at. I tried to explain to him about the Reed metabolism because she is in the 75th percentile for her height but only 10th for weight...sounds like Janet Reed to me!
We are not afraid and are trusting in that fact that we know the Lord loves Emerson more than we ever could (which is mind boggling to me. Please just pray for a healthy visit to the cardiologist. They are going to call us to set up the appointment, I'll let you know when that is going to be. For today, take delight in the fact that little E is happy as can be and overall a very healthy (and skinny) little girl! We love you all so much!
