Wow, we have a family blog, that's so neat. hmm what am I doing right now?.... I'm thinking of trudging out in the snow to go to the library for another Calculus study session. I'm not too excited about it. In fact I really could just take the friggin' exam un-studied and be just fine, I have an A- in the course right now but I guess I really need to bump that up or at least keep it up. Ugh why can't I just be working again. I hate school, it's such a rip-off. 3.5 years and I'm outta here. Peace Blogville!

Prayer Request
Hey Family! We just got back from little E's 12 month doctors appointment. Everything went pretty well even though she got a few shots. Luckily she loves the shiny band-aids they gave her. Although she is very healthy overall, the doctor has decided to refer her to a cardiologist. At her 9 month appointment and again at her 12 month appointment today he thought he heard a heart murmur (did i spell that right??). So, just to be on the safe side he wants to have a cardiologist check her out. Please don't freak out (especially you Becky!). It may very well be nothing. But since he thought he heard it twice and she is gaining very little weight (she's in the 10th percentile), he wanted to make sure we had it looked at. I tried to explain to him about the Reed metabolism because she is in the 75th percentile for her height but only 10th for weight...sounds like Janet Reed to me!
We are not afraid and are trusting in that fact that we know the Lord loves Emerson more than we ever could (which is mind boggling to me. Please just pray for a healthy visit to the cardiologist. They are going to call us to set up the appointment, I'll let you know when that is going to be. For today, take delight in the fact that little E is happy as can be and overall a very healthy (and skinny) little girl! We love you all so much!

I'm so excited!

7 inches of snow in Durham on Friday night so I got to stay home and play with the wife, baby and dog, and we took some fun pictures I wanted to share. The picture of the retention pond is there because I took Stabler out in the snow and I threw a rock in the middle of the pond to see how hard the ice was. The rock splashed in the middle of the pond and Stabler wanted to retrieve it so he sprinted out to the pond and leaped out about a quarter of the way to the center, and freaked out when he realized that the pond was not frozen solid. He went all the way under and when he came up he was whining and frantically swimming back to the shore. The dog got out of the water, left me, and sprinted back to the house. Hilarious. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures. He was too fast. Hope all is well, can't wait to see everyone again.
Oh yeah, one thing you can all be praying about. I've been asked to interview for a mall store in Richmond, VA. We are a little worried about the amount of money that we can make there, but it is a great opportunity to be eligible to get a free standing store in a location that we want to be in a couple years, so we have decided to interview for the store. If we get hired, we will move to Richmond in May and I'll start at the store in June. We are very excited. Just pray that if this is not the Lord's intention for us that he would close the doors.
